Sacred Heart Community Services welcomes you to volunteer with us to join us in helping out our community and creating a positive impact!

There are many ways to volunteer at Sacred Heart and continue it for a long time. Last week La mesa Verde of SHCS had a seed sweep, where volunteers were able to swap seeds, share knowledge and build community!

This is what one of the volunteers had to say

"My daughters and I enjoyed it!

It was a positive community experience. We learned a lot about their urban garden mission and several organizations. I had no idea that the physical libraries will now integrate seed libraries!

There was work (setting up and monitoring the food and seed stations, plus working with kids at the seed art station). There was also time for us to break up, a few at a time, visit the tables, and learn more about community garden efforts to share that news with others, NCL, and beyond. All in all, it was a very good experience."
