Thank You Volunteers!

Over the course of our 2-day Pack-A-Back drive we were joined by 300 enthusiastic volunteers who played an immense role in distributing 3,2000 backpacks to students and their families, ensuring their readiness for the upcoming school year! 

Throughout the day, our volunteers and members engaged with one another, bringing joy and happiness. Watching the children's excited faces as they proudly walked with their backpacks, eager to embark on their educational journey, brought smiles to our volunteers, staff and families!

We APPRECIATE the hard work our volunteers do, not only for Pack A Back, but in all the services and events they participate in. Your contributions are indispensable, and we recognize that we would not be able to do it without you all!

Many individuals and groups come to volunteer. During Pack A Back Mica Wang is NetApp's Social Impact Intern (pictured in middle of group photo) who helped to coordinate and execute a Pack-a-Back build day for her company. She gathered over 100+ employees!

This campaign and our work really hit home for her as she grew up receiving services from organizations similar to Sacred Heart Community Service. Mica is a Bay Area native and currently a student at NYU studying Psychology and Business Administration.

Our friends at NetApp joined us in packing and distributing over 150 backpacks and school supplies. Through our 8+ year partnership, NetApp has been committed to youth and education.
