Dia de los Muertos

On Thursday, November 2nd, Sacred Heart staff took part in a special event featuring food, drinks, music, and crafts in celebration of the Dia de los Muertos holiday.

Celebrated throughout Latin America, Dia de los Muertos is a season of remembrance where people celebrate and honor loved ones who have passed away. Staff members of all cultures were encouraged to bring photos and personal effects of their family members and ancestors for placement on a special altar erected in the Sacred Heart Learning Center.

This celebration is a continuance of Dia de los Muertos events that Sacred Heart hosted before the pandemic. Honoring those who came before us and being in community together made this event a joyous and meaningful event that will continue into the future.
