Amor Santiago, Director of Development & Evaluation
Dr. Amor Santiago has provided executive leadership in nonprofit development, health and wellness programming, and multi-ethnic community collaborations in Santa Clara County and San Francisco. Previously, Amor led nonprofit organizations serving diverse low-income and immigrant communities. He was the founding Executive Director of the Community Health Partnership. He was President and CEO of Asian Americans for Community Involvement, then later served as Executive Director of the India Community Center; Vice President at The Health Trust; and as director of Healthy Silicon Valley, a collaborative of more than 100 organizations. He was Executive Director of APA Family Support Services, focused on strengthening families and children in low-income and immigrant communities in San Francisco. At Project Open Hand, he was Vice President of Development and Community Affairs. Amor served in a number of coalitions, associations and partnerships including the San Francisco Health Improvement Partnership.
Amor is a graduate of Westmont College. He completed a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, and a Masters in Public Health degree from San Jose State University, where he is adjunct faculty. He holds certificates in Entrepreneurship from UCLA, and in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University, and as a massage therapist. Amor is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, was recognized with the Unity in Diversity Medal by Santa Clara County, the Gordon Chan Leadership Award, Queer Person of Note by the BAYMEC Foundation, and recognized with the LGBTQ Community Legacy Award for Asm. District 25, Ash Kalra.
