Volunteer to Help Prevent Homelessness in Our Community
Sacred Heart’s Family Assistance Department is one of the largest sites in the Santa Clara County Homelessness Prevention System (HPS). We provide financial assistance and resources to prevent community members from being unhoused, and we welcome you to join our team in the mission to prevent homelessness in Santa Clara County.
We currently have several open volunteer opportunities in our department, with an urgent need for the positions listed below. If you are passionate about helping your community and are interested in volunteering, please contact Jennifer Nguyen at (408) 791-1798 or jennifern@sacredheartcs.org.
Transit Assistance Program (TAP) Data Entry: Our TAP program provides low-income households with affordable transportation, and we need a volunteer with basic technology proficiency to help input our data and call clients. Must be 18+ years, and preferably fluent in English and Spanish (position can be done virtually).
Spanish Language Interpreter: Our Family Assistance Advisory Committee holds meetings twice a month to engage with community members and develop their capacity for leadership, and we need a Spanish language interpreter for these meetings. Must be 18+ years with basic technology proficiency (position can be done virtually).
Data Cleaning Specialist: This position requires basic technology proficiency to help clean up data on Salesforce and close out cases for some of our programs that have ended. This position can be done virtually or in-person, and requires a 2-week commitment.
