Regional Suburban Organizing Project

Inclusive Housing for All

Last October 23th and 24th, Sacred Heart staff and community leaders from across the region gathered to build community organizing skills and deepen partnership. Approximately forty community leaders and staff members from Santa Clara y San Mateo county spent the weekend learning skills such as how to develop powerful campaigns for housing justice, and how to continue to build grassroots leadership that can lead these campaigns. The weekend-long training, facilitated by Sacred Heart’s organizing staff, is part of the key strategies of the Regional Suburban Organizing Project - a group that creates space for regional partnership in the Bay Area with the goal of shifting power in the suburbs towards equitable, affordable, and inclusive housing for all.
